Vice Chairman of the CCPIT Wang Jinzhen met with Vinai Thummalapally, executive director of the U.S. Commerce Department's SelectUSA on April 18 and exchanged views on issues like bilateral economic relations and investment promotion.
Wang said as an important part of comprehensive China-US relations, Sino-US economic ties have become a significant booster for bilateral economic development.
Since the SelectUSA project was launched by the U.S. Commerce Department, the CCPIT has cooperated with it to hold the U.S. investment environment introduction meeting which helped Chinese investors to understand the U.S. for cooperation projects and had achieved success. Since Chinese investors are inexperienced in foreign investment and lack knowledge of the U.S. investment environment, he hoped the U.S. to be clearer in foreign investment policies and reduce protectionism.
Vinai thanked the CCPIT for its support for SelectUSA and stressed the U.S. values economic cooperation with China and Chinese companies have great potential in going global. Expansion of investment cooperation with the U.S. will exert positive influence on the world.
SelectUSA is an agency under the U.S. Commerce Department for attracting foreign investment in order to create jobs and stimulate economic growth.
